Potato and bean crops also affected by heavy snowfall in Armenia (video)
The low temperatures in Ararat valley and in the low-lying parts of Armenia have greatly damaged the orchards across the country. The severe consequences of are particularly tangible in Artashat, Masis, Amavir and Etchmiadzin where farmers will be unable to harvest any fruits in the summer. The snowstorm did not only harm the fruit-growing areas, but also potato and bean crops and vineyards. The snowfall has also affected apricot and cornel fruits in Tumanyan region.
