The number of teachers is excessive, says minister (video)
Heghine Bisharyan, a lawmaker of the Country of Law Party (OEK) today asked the Minister of Education and Science about staff reductions in schools. In reply, the minister said reductions were carried out in all schools, but those were not massive reductions. Over 40 000 educators work in Armenian schools today, but there are 25 000 seats. So, there is redundancy. Schools are free not to cut down the number of staff members if they can provide him/her with job.
