Pashinyan says his son will replace him during march 1 rally
Nikol Pashinyan, an opposition MP from the Armenian National Congress (HAK) has referred on his Facebook page to his sudden health problem. “After yesterday’s parliament sitting I felt severe abdominal pain and had to see a doctor. A few hours later I was diagnosed with an acute inflammation of the appendix. I had to undergo urgent appendectomy to avoid consequences. The opretaion lasted two hours. Doctors describe my condition as satisfactory. I do not think that my health will allow me to join the opposition rally to be held at Liberty Square on Saturday in commemoration of the victims of the March 1, 2008 tragic events, but my son Ashot will replace me at the square and stand beside legendary commander Sasun Mikaelyan on March 1,” Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook account.
