Ousted Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych plans to hold a news conference in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don on Friday, BBC says citing Russia's Ria news agency. Meantime, Ukraine’s Prosecutor-General’s Office is going to ask Russia to extradite Victor Yanukovych. "Ukraine's Prosecutor-General intends to raise the issue of the extradition of the internationally wanted citizen of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich in case it is officially confirmed that he is in the Russian Federation," it said in a statement. The situation remains tense in Crimea, where the main Crimean airport in Simferopol is occupied by armed men, thought to be pro-Russia militia. Great Britain has urged its citizens not to leave Simferopol until the situation has calmed down. The BBC journalist has seen ten trucks with the black plates of the Russian army - usually the type used to carry personnel - moving towards Simferopol. Meanwhile interim President Olexander Turchynov has dismissed the Armed Forces chief, Yuriy Ilyin. The Ukrainian parliament has called on the United Nations Security Council to discuss the unfolding crisis in Crimea. Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Russian government to consider the issue ofhumanitarian aid for Crimea.
