Garnik Isagulyan: March 1 can have different consequences (video)
Chairman of the National Security Party, Garnik Isagulyan, today referred to the statement of ARD-Dashnaktsutyun MP Armen Rustamyan, who, commenting on Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan’s words, said, “This is an unprecedented situation. The justice minister should not only respect the Constitution, but also protect it. Similarly, we can tell him, “You are making a mistake, bastard!” This came after Hrayr Tovmasyan said the four non-coalition parties ‘are taking much upon themselves’ by submitting a motion of no confidence against the Government. Talking to reporters on Friday, Garnik Isagulyan said Armen Rustamyan is a well-educated and balanced person and the expression could not simply be ‘a slip of the tongue.’ Then he added that the minister received an adequate response for offending the 53 opposition MPs in parliament. Garnik Isagulyan also drew parelles between the Ukrainian turmoil and the political situation in Armenia. Asked whether the bloody clashes on Maidan, the main square in the Ukraine capital, might repeat in Armenia, he said, “We cannot rule the country from the street.” In conclusion, the chairman of the National Security Party said March 1 can have completely different consequences than it is predicted.
