Environmentalists are alarmed: Ler-Ex intoxicates Geghi River
A civil group in Kapan city has posted footage on Facebook which clearly shows Ler-Ex Ltd, an ore processing plant in Syunik Marz, intoxicating the Geghi River. The water in the river was once so clean that people drank it without a moment’s hesitation. The pollution has been going on for three years now, but the relevant bodies have not taken any measures to punish the company. We consider this to be a crime and call on law enforcement bodies to attend it, if of course, they have the courage, said the Pan-Armenian Environmental Front.
