Yanukovich asks Russia for support
Ukraine’s failed president Viktor Yanukovich asks Russia to insure his personal safety. BBC informs about this. According to the primary information, the request was satisfied. “Me and my supporters are threatened. I have to ask Russian authorities to protect me from the radicals, - is said in Yanukovich’s announcement, - I consider myself as Ukraine’s legal leader elected as a result of free will of Ukrainians.” In his announcement Yanukovich considers the decision of his resigning by Supreme Rada illegal and says to fight till the end for taking the country out of the crisis.
