78 confirmed cases of coronavirus - Arsen Torosyan (video) (video)

Healthcare Minister Arsen Torosyan announced on his Facebook live that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases reached 78 in Armenia. He noted that six new cases were related to the sewing workshop case. According to him 18 cases were found in isolated people and, if those people were not examined, the virus might have not been found out. So we can infer that at this period of time many citizens may have become ill and treated even without knowing that they were infected with coronavirus. He added that more than 95 percent of patients had no symptoms, they had temperature or had contact, but then the temperature disappeared.

He says that in some countries patients infected with coronavirus but not having symptoms aren’t hospitalised, but in Armenia every infected person is in hospital and their contacts are isolated in order to break the spread. He also mentions that by the end of the day there will be about 600 isolated people and their number can increase by several hundreds. Only after that the principle of self-isolation will be applied.
