Armenian licenses issued on basis of Russian fake driving licenses (video)

The Internal Security Department of the Police received operative information that the officers of the traffic police registration and examination units, without any verification, issued Armenian driving licenses on the basis of fake Russian driving licenses. For this purpose, th Department of the Internal Security has conducted investigations into the aforementioned, with the basis of non-national driving licenses obtained from the traffic police from January 1 to May 23, 2019.

As a result of their examination, it was found out that 84 Armenian driving licenses were issued on the basis of the Russian sample in the mentioned period.

The study materials were sent to the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia. On December 10, criminal cases were filed on the basis of Article 325, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
