"I'm so smart, that I know that there are men and women more intelligent than me, with whom I can consult on government issues," presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian said at a meeting with the representatives of the Association of Women with University Education. Provided that he wins in the February 18 ballot, Mr Hovannisian promises not to give commands 'from above.' He also expressed hope that in the next presidential elections he would support a woman candidate, since if being elected a president he would not put forward his candidature for the second term.

"However, today women living in Armenia are not ready for it. That is why I say that it is necessary to change the state agenda," said the presidential candidate.

Raffi Hovannisian said that as of his family members he gives high importance to the destiny of an ordinary citizen and his or her family.

Before the arrival of Raffi Hovannisian the leader of the "Heritage faction, Ruben Hakobyan, spoke with the representatives of the Association of Women with University Education.

He noted that nowadays in Armenia there are two parties that are ideologically similar to each other, which are the "Heritage" and the "Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun)".

To the question of the Association representatives why the party had joined the Free Democrats Party, Mr. Hakobyan said. “I admit it, we were wrong".
