The rally kicked off at Freedom Square with an opening speech by Chairman of the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh) Aram Manukyan, who provided the participants of the elections with information about the election results from different precincts.

Based on the information, there was high voter turnout in the provinces. It turns out that 1,200,000 people participated in the provinces alone, but only 400,000 voters participated in the elections in Yerevan.

In his speech, Nikol Pashinyan declared that the Armenian authorities have been perpetrating a "white genocide" for the past couple of years. "On May 6, the authorities perpetrated genocide against citizens of Armenia. People say they hate Serzh Sargsyan's administration, but the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) receives the majority of the votes during the elections."

According to Nikol Pashinyan, most of the people didn't elect based on their feeling and perceptions, but were forced to vote. According to Pashinyan, citizens are experiencing genocide in Armenia. He assured that the purpose of the rally at Freedom Square was to "relieve the people from Serzh Sargsyan's Auschwitz".

Pashinyan emphasized that the 9,099 citizens that voted for him at precinct N 7 waged a partisan war against "Samvel Alexanyan's Auschwitz". "These are the free citizens that will help build a free and independent Armenia. Let's not let the citizens who have become slaves. Slaves of Serzh's Auschwitz, I declare that I love you all, we will give you freedom."

Nikol Pashinyan also announced that the HAK has agreed to participate in the activities at the National Assembly with the sole purpose of undertaking reforms and leading to a revolution. "The HAK faction will work on making the RA Constitution supreme. We will become the source of inspiration to bring citizens out to the square."

He also expressed gratitude to the candidates that were running under the majoritarian ticket. "Our candidates have received more than 185,000 votes, and that is highly appreciable. Long live the revolution of the Armenian people."
