Even Minister sees the shade
Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan today referred to the problem of shadow economy, saying the shade is visible from all angles.
Asked how the government intends to collect 101-billion-dram additional tax, the minister said, "The 101 billion increase of tax revenues will be realistic if there are no strong economic shakes in world economy and no abrupt climate changes in Armenia." At the same time the minister advised looking into the future with optimism.
In reply to a journalist's question whether the budget will benefit from the tax on luxury, Vache Gabrielyan said, "Budget entries will make about a billion drams."
The Minister presented the e-procurement system, which aims to exclude corruption risks and defalcation and reduce contacts between state bodies and Procurement Assistance Center.
"This is a European system which enables to avoid any kind of mediation, substitution of information and falsification," he said.
