Medvedev proposes Putin's candidacy
Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev has proposed Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to run presidency in next year's election.
Addressing the annual congress of the ruling United Russia party on Saturday, September 24, Medvedev proposed Putin's candidacy for the post.
Medvedev underlined that the decision was taken as early as their union was being formed, but they decided to wait for a suitable moment.
