Sociologist Aharon Adibekyan says the government won't swallow its pride and won't grant Armenian National Congress activist Tigran Arakelyan an early release.

"The ANC doesn't have the resources to make the authorities release him early, and the authorities are still strong enough to not let that happen," the sociologist told "A1+".

According to him, the fall is going to be heated in terms of politics since both sides are in favor of extending the dialogue and not registering any results.

"Their goal is to keep public opinion in focus, make appearances and talk. It doesn't matter what they talk about. This is preparation for the parliamentary elections," Mr. Adibekyan said.

The sociologist considers the Armenian National Congress-ruling coalition dialogue a successful political PR, which goes to show that all mass media outlets are only speaking of the dialogue.

"Everyone has forgotten about "Heritage", the ARF and other political parties. One gets the impression that there are only two political poles in this country," he said.

The sociologist generally views dialogue as a means of "shutting the eye" of the international community.

"They have expressed commitment to unite the society and come to terms. Let them do it, if they can. However, if there is only one big chair, how are they going to do it? The struggle is for the big chair," sociologist Aharon Adibekyan said.
