During the hour of announcements at the National Assembly, the Republican Party today mainly touched upon Serzh Sargsyan's proposal for amnesty and considered it a step toward nation-building.

Speaker of the Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov assessed the amnesty as a powerful step taken by Serzh Sargsyan and assured that Armenian society would be more united as one.

Republican MP Karine Atchemyan viewed Serzh Sargsyan's proposal for amnesty as an anticipated step.

"During his oath, Serzh Sargsyan had announced that he was ready to take any step for the implementation of national goals. Through this and other steps, we will be in a totally different reality."

Speaking of the importance of the First Republic, Republican MP Ishkhan Khachatryan advised to learn the lessons.

"Armenians should not leave the homeland. They should stay and build it. Nobody granted us independence. We gained it."

"Prosperous Armenia" Party MP Ruben Gevorgyan gave an artistic digest of the Republican MPs' announcements and ended the series of announcements with his speech on Armenians' victories in May.

"We have to win death. Today we are living on our holy homeland thanks to our friends who died. Their deaths led to the creation of Yerablur and that is where our current generation is coming from."

"Country of Law" reminded the government of the disaster zone and that the majority of communities still lack gas. The residents of Jajur community of Shirak province said the government is leading an "ostrich" policy in their community.

"We will be consistent in solving the issues related to the disaster zone, particularly the current issues in Shirak province," announced Hovhannes Margaryan.
