Discussed issues of European Armenians
The Assembly of Armenians of Europe is concerned about the policy adopted by the Republic of Armenia and it presented its concerns during the General Assembly held in the German city of Koln a couple of days ago.
Participating in the December 12 General Assembly were the authorized representatives of organizations from European countries and individual members.
The assembly discussed issues related to the rules and regulations and organization of the Assembly of Armenians of Europe, as well as confirmed solutions and structural reforms.
The Assembly elected a new Supreme Council consisting of five chiefs and two vices under leadership of Karo Hakobyan. The Supreme Council will direct future activities of the AAE. The AAE also elected local and working bodies and committees.
Karo Hakobyan informed that the General Assembly also discussed issues that concern Diaspora Armenians, especially the Armenians living in Europe and the current challenges.
