Armenia is not supplying energy to Turkey although an agreement was reached between the countries last September.

During last year's visit of Turkish officials to Yerevan, the sides concluded an agreement on exporting energy from Armenia to Turkey.

Economic and political circles were sceptical about the agreement especially after official Turkey's rejections.

Unlike Turkey, Armenia claimed that an agreement had been reached between the sides and Armenia would supply energy to Turkey starting from spring, 2009.

Six months have passed since the fixed date but no energy has been exported to Turkey.

"There is no need to worry. This is not only a technical matter," press spokesperson for the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Lusine Harutyunyan said to A1+.

Remind that Turkey's Unit Company and Armenia's High -voltage Electric Network Ltd signed an agreement according to which the process was to begin without a mediator via a direct route between the sides.

Armenia was contracted to export 1, 5 milliard kilowatt-hour energy at the first period. The standard schedule of supplies could reach 3, 5 milliard kilowatt-hour in the future.
