KOCHARYAN IS LEAVING FOR DUSHANBE

Official

On 5 October Robert Kocharyan will leave for Dushanbe to participate in the CIS Summit, in the EurAsEC Interstate Council and the CSTO Collective Security Council sessions.

The RA Minister of Defense Michael Harutunyan, Armen Gevorgyan, the President's Administration Head and other officials and journalists are to leave for Dushanbe as well.

The Summit will be launched by the participation of fewer leaders. Afterward, the plenary session will be held.

The main problem to be discussed during the Summit is the CIS further development and the programs aimed at its implementation. At the CSTO session the leaders will exchange ideas on the activities of the Organization during the second half of 2007 and the first half of 2008. A number of documents will be discussed and signed during the Council’s session, which will enlarge the normative-legal cooperation of member states in political and military fields.

The RA President will also participate in the works of the EurAsEC Interstate Council as an observer.
