MEETING WITH MARSHAL FUND REPRESENTATIVES
Support A1+!RA FM Vartan Oskanian received the experts of German Marshal fund who are in Armenia on regional visit. There are representatives from the U.S. Congress Personal among the delegation.
Vartan Oskanian focused on the Armenia’s on-going friendship with the fund underlining its activity in the region which gives an opportunity to get acquainted with various political orientations of each country more closely and thoroughly.
The parties referred to the regional problems, Armenia-NATO and Armenia-EU co-operation, as well as certain aspects of the Georgian-Russian relations.
Minister Oskanian presented the procedure of the Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement and spoke of Armenian -Turkish relations.
ReferenceThe German “Marshal” fund is a freelance U.S. institution which deals with state policy issues and scholarships. The fund is aimed at enhancing the American-European relations and mutual understanding. The fund was founded in 1972 and was a gift from Germany in return of the assistance rendered by the Marshal Plan. The fund has offices in Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Belgrade and Ankara, besides the Washington office.
