ARMENIA IS READY TO CONTINUE NEGOTIATIONS

Official

Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan received the delegation, led by OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy.

Passy aims to get to know the region problems and the latest developments of settlement of conflicts.

PM voiced hope that the visit would have a positive influence on regulation of conflicts in the region, supporting economic progress and establishment of peace and stability.

According to PM, relations of Armenia with OSCE are foremost prior at the aspect of Karabakhi conflict settlement and necessity of creating stability in the Caucasus region.

He stated that our country is for continuation of the negotiation process and appears from constructive stances. He also said that Armenia is against undertaking OSCE chairmanship by Turkey in 2007, and the position may change only if Turkey establishes full diplomatic relations with Armenia and opens its borders.

During the meeting PM expressed regret on behalf of our country that Chairman-in-Office and Chairman of Standing Council didn’t condemn the murder in Budapest. Margaryan said such a step would be to the point.
