"Living Tree"- Another Initiative of Yerevan Zoo

Social
zoo

The Yerevan Zoo, together with the FPWC and Yerevan City Hall, launches again its traditional "Living Tree" program. Each year, ahead of the New Year, the number of Armenia's forests are decreasing due to illegal logging of fir and pine trees. The Yerevan Zoo, together with the FPWC and Yerevan Municipality, launches again its traditional "Living Tree" program to make your holiday more beautiful and enjoyable for nature. By participating in the project you can contribute to the protection of forests in Armenia. By choosing this New Year tree, you will be able to plant it in your backyard or donate to any school. You can choose your "Living Tree" at Yerevan Zoo or North Avenue, next to the "Good Mama" NGO booth. When buying living trees, you will also get an information sheet about right tree-feeding. The rented trees can be returned in 2019 from 8 to 15 January. The returned trees will be planted in the Zoo, and for every purchased tree one tree will be donated to orphanages and children's care centers.
