Ararat-73 lose its legend
The goalkeeper of the legendary Ararat-73 Yerevan team Alyosha Abrahamyan died at the age of 73. Ararat football club press service informs about this. Alyosha Abrahamyan was born in 1945 in Leninakan. He started playing football in the local Shirak team. In 1966-1978, he played 276 games in the Ararat team during the USSR championship. He became a USSR champion in 1973, silver medalist in 1971 and 1976 (spring), and USSR Cup Winner in 1973 and 1975. After these competitions, Alyosha Abrahamyan started coaching. He has worked in different clubs in Armenia. In recent years, he was coaching goalkeeper for Ararat team. He had a serious illness for a long time, which, unfortunately, was incurable for him.
