During the regular four-day sittings of the National Assembly today, the head of the "Yelk" (Way out) faction Nikol Pashinyan came up with the following order: "Yesterday the National Assembly decided that the draft law on Prevention of Domestic Violence, consisting of 8 legislative initiatives, should be discussed for 1 hour. The members of the Tsarukyan faction and we were against this, as we thought that the discussion of such a major law in the NA is unacceptable to be held in this way. However, our suggestions were not accepted. Also, we are generally in favor of the project, but the impression is that the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) just wants to accept the law in order to call its boss in Brussels, and report him that they have done the job. This draft law should be accepted for our people."
