Vigen Sargsyan does not meet with protesting students (video)
Today, when the draft law “On Status of Military Serviceman” was discussed in the parliament, about a dozen students of State University showed up at the parliament building. They demanded a meeting with Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan. In general, they plan to collect signatures to launch university strikes and protests. Member of the "For Science Development" initiative David Petrosyan told www.aravot.am that they were indignant that the Minister of Defense met with them instead of Minister of Science. So, today they demand Vigen Sargsyan meet with them at the parliament building. Students consider changes that will be made in the draft law will "spoil" the development of science in Armenia. They say that while introducing "Honor", "Azg-army" programs, the amendments are not announced in the institute.
