Pedro Agramunt resigns
On his Twitter page Pedro Agramunt wrote the following: "I have decided not to preside the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Parliament, for personal reasons." To remind, the issue of his resignation should be discussed at the PACE autumn session, which starts next week. And yet, during the PACE spring session, the Bureau of the Assembly expressed no confidence in Agramunt. The reason was Agramunt's visit to Syria in March and his meeting with Bashar Assad.
