Moscow supports Azerbaijan's candidate for the post of UNESCO Director General, Polad Bulbuloglu. Gatilov Gennadiy, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, told TASS on Friday. “The elections will take place on Monday, and most likely, there will be several stages,” he said. “We give our preference to Azerbaijan. We met with all candidates, as almost everyone came to Moscow.” The new head of the organization will be elected at the 39th session of the UNESCO General Conference. 8 candidates have been nominated officially from Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, China, Lebanon and France.
