Alexey Navalni, famous Russian oppositionist, leader of anti-corruption movement, was arrested in Moscow today. The local police have confirmed the information. According to BBC Russia, Navalny was arrested for calling for unauthorized rallies. He was arrested at the entrance to his apartment in Moscow and was taken to the Danilovski Police Department. Alexey Navalni, the RF President Vladimir Putin's critic, was going to participate in a rally today, in Nijniy Novgorod. Navlani, who is currently in a police station, has commented on his arrest on Twitter. " This is a new phase, of course. Now I am arrested for taking part in an authorized rally." The oppositionist says that the reason he is arrested for is not told him yet. Alexey Navalni informs that "I have never called for taking part in an unauthorized rally."
