Passenger flow up by 25.4% in Armenia
Passenger flow at two airports in Armenia made 1 667 173 people in January-August of 2017 which is 25.4% more than that of the same period in 2016. In August, passenger flow was 293 317 people, which is 14.9% more compared to the same period of 2016. In August 2017, passenger flow at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport made 281 345 people which exceeds the index of last August by 10.2%. In January-August of 2017, compared to the same months of 2016, 21.9% growth in passenger flow was registered at the same airport. Freight transportation at Zvartnots Airport in January-August of 2017 made 14,985 tons, which is 54% more than that in the same period of 2016. In August 2017, the passenger flow at Gyumri's Shirak airport made 11,972 people. In January-August 2017, the airport hosted 56 243 people compared to the 7 065 reported in January-August 2016. All incoming and outgoing flights at both airports increased by 22.1% In January-August 2017, the General Department of Civil Aviation reports.
