Lawyers again refuse to enter courtroom (video)
Court bailiffs again wanted to search the bags of lawyers just before the hearing in the so-called Sasna Dzrer case. Lawyer Lusine Sahakyan refused to open her bag, saying that an “X-ray scanner” could be placed in the court to detect dangerous items in the bag. Lawyer Tigran Hayrapetyan refused to open his bag either, while lawyer Ara Zakaryan refused to produce any document proving his identity. “Every day in enter this court without an identity document. They want to show special treatment to this case,” Mr. Zakaryan said. He added that courts might also demand to see the results of blood tests to find out whether they had infectious diseases or not. The lawyer also wanted to talk to the judge on the phone, but he was not allowed to. Currently, the lawyers are waiting outside the building and refuse to enter the courtroom.
