Speaking at the Media Centre NGO on Wednesday, Karen Vrtanesyan, an expert of Razm.info military-analytical website, said an Armenian citizen recently crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. “I can neither confirm nor dismiss the report,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry, said to A1+. Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry has released a video portraying a man who it claims is an ‘Armenian saboteur.’ div “This person is a civilian. He doesn’t serve in our army: even his appearance clearly shows this. We are familiar with Azerbaijani methods of presenting ordinary people as saboteurs,” Hovhannisyan said to Armenpress news agency. In the video, the man who is allegedly identified as Zaven H. Karapetyan, says in Armenian that he was born in Dovegh village in Tavush province. According to the official voters’ registry of Armenia, the registration address of a Zaven H. Karapetyan is noted as Vanadzor, Lori province, not Dovegh village of Noyemberyan (present-day Tavush province) as is mentioned in the statement of Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry.  Head of the Dovegh village Samvel Gorginyan told Armenpress that no one with the name lives in the village. It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani Ministry’s report was denied by Azerbaijani social media users themselves.
