The 6th convention NA today elected chairmen for 9 standing committees. Gagik Melikyan, Chairman of the temporary Counting Committee, announced that 94 out of 105 lawmakers took part in the voting. The votes were distributed in the following way: Republican candidate Hakob Hakobyan was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Health, Motherhood and Social Affairs with 1 invalid, 80 for and 13 against votes. Republican candidate Armen Ashotyan was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations with 2 invalid, 56 for and 36 against votes. Vardan Bostanjyan from Tsarukyan alliance was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Youth Affairs with 2 invalid, 85 for and 7 against votes. Naira Zohrabyan from Tsarukyan alliance was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on European Integration Affairs with 4 invalid, 73 for and 17 against votes. Republican candidate Koryun Nahapetyan was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs with 2 invalid, 81 for and 11 against votes. Republican candidate Hrayr Tovmasyan was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on State-legal and Human Rights Affairs with 0-78-16 votes. Vardevan Grigoryan from Tsarukyan alliance was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Regional Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Nature Protection Affairs with 1-87-6 votes. Republican candidate Khosrov Harutyunyan was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs with 1-78-15 votes. Republican candidate Gagik Minasyan was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs with 1-92-1 votes.
