Voter came to the polls with marked ballot
Residents of Yerevan are electing a new city council today, which, in turn, will pick the mayor of Yerevan. An observer from the Europe in Law Association monitoring municipal elections at 5/7 polling station reports that a woman showed up with a market ballot in her hand. The chairperson of the election commission was informed about the violation and asked to take appropriate actions. As a result, the sample ballot was torn and thrown away. The observer demanded that the violation be registered but the secretary refused to do it saying no violation had occurred.
