A number of newly-elected lawmakers renounce their mandates, the Central Electoral Commission said on Tuesday, May 2. Today, while the CEC was discussing the corresponding application, it became known that many of the lawmakers had not submitted any application with the CEC. These MPs refrained from talking to journalists and offered to follow the session to know their opinions. CEC Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan read out the names of the eleven MPs from the Tsarukyan bloc who refused to put down their mandates. They are Vahan Karapetyan, Napoleon Azizyan, Khachik Manukyan, Alik Yehikyan, Sergey Bagratyan, Ararat Zurabyan, Mushegh Saghatelyan, Manuk Sukiasyan, Hrant Davtyan, Artur Manukyan and Artyom Tsarukyan. Only one of the applications signed in the name of Napoleon Azizyan, was notarized. All other MPs expressed desire to participate in the CEC sitting.
