Detention of Jirayr Sefilyan, leader of the “Centennial without the regime” radical opposition movement, has been extended for one month. Simzar Hovsepyan, a judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts, has extended the term of Sefilyan’s detention for the fifth time. Sefilyan’s lawyer, Tigran Hayrapetyan, told A1+ that his client did not attend the court hearing. The judge read out a letter stating that Sefilyan did not want to participate in the sitting. “The letter did not specify which sitting Sefilyan refused to attend,” said the lawyer.
