Sari Tagh residents resort to hunger and sit-in strike

The relatives of the detainees along lines of the case of Sari Tagh events are going to hold a sit-in strike in front of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office. Lala Bernetsyan, wife of Eduard Zeytunyan, who was detained after Sari Tagh events, told “A1+” about it. Her husband Eduard Zeytunyan yesterday started a hunger strike, demanding to review the charge levied against him. Eduard Zeytunyan and other 9 Sari Tagh residents, who were detained, are charged with use of dangerous violence against government representative. They are going to star termless hunger strike one by one. The relatives of the detainees, though, claim that they had only demanded so that their electricity and water supply be turned on and closed roads be opened. The case is under trial. It is investigated in the Court of General Jurisdiction of Erebuni and Nubarashen Administrative Districts. Seven policemen were recognized the aggrieved party along lines of the case. 17 out of 22 witnesses are policemen. The court hearing into the case was postponed until April 13.
