“We are gathering momentum and we feel geared up [for the elections]. Ours is a growing force and are heading into election day with that policy,” Seyran Ohanyan, one of the three leaders of the Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance, told journalists in Abovyan city where the alliance held a campaign rally on Friday. Ohanyan added that they have forces ‘that are kept in reserve.’ The former defense minister laughs when he hears Republicans’ claims that they have no contender in the upcoming parliamentary elections. “… because I view each and every healthy force as my contender. We should have respect for one another.” Commenting on the words of Republican Armen Ashotyan who said it is a pity that the General [Seyran Ohanyan] left the Republican Party of Armenia, the ex-minister said, “It is a pity that the authorities first use and then throw away [people].”
