Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance calls on voters not to yield to manipulation (video)
On March 7, the electoral alliance set up by former ministers Seyran Ohanyan, Raffi Hovannisian and Vartan Oskanian met residents of Noyemberyan, a town in the northeastern Tavush region, as part of their election campaign. The alliance which continues its campaign rallies in border settlements, called on the locals not to yield to election manipulation. Former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, who was once in power, knows what evil phenomena can be encountered by voters. “Different vicious phenomena can happen before elections, including vote buying and electoral fraud. I ask you to stand firm and maintain your courageous position to the end and not to be afraid of anything. We are with you,” Mr Ohanyan said. The country cannot record progress without changes. In order to see these changes, the alliance offers residents to vote for the Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian allaince which is N8 on ballot papers. “We need a fresh and watchful eye to see all the shortcomings that exist today, and, why not, the positive things and, based on them, build the future of our country. This is the reason why we are stagnating and do not see the flaws and shortcomings, paving the way for an authorities system,” Mr Ohanyan continued. Vartan Oskanian is convinced that changes can be achieved in the shortest period of time, given the experience of the leaders of their alliance. “The three of us have different educational backgrounds, have led a different life in different countries. We believe that democracy is vital for the development of the country,” he said.
