Yelk alliance started voting
The Yelk (Way Out) electoral alliance has published its list for the April parliamentary elections. The parties included in the alliance will nominate their candidates and form a common list. Chairman of the Hanrapetutyun (Republic) Party Aram Sargsyan says all decisions are made by consensus and the order of candidates does not matter at all. He has not decided yet which of the candidates he will cast his ballot for. Nikol Pashinyan from the Civil Contract party says they want each representative of a political team approve the involvement of his/her teammate on the list. Bright Armenia's Edmon Marukyan says it does not matter for his party which of the candidates will top the list. “I do not care where I shall be placed because I am a lucky man and luck will accompany me wherever I am placed,” he said. At present, the political parties involved in the electoral alliance are voting to decide the first three candidates of the other two parties. The Bright Armenia is the first to vote. On December 12, the Civil Contract, Bright Armenia and Hanrapetutyun parties signed a memorandum announcing their decision to form an electoral alliance and challenge the acting authorities in the April 2 vote together.
