Ill-treatment towards member of “Sasna Dzrer” continues: advocate
Hayarpi Sargsyan, advocate of member of “Sasna Dzrer” group Hovhannes Harutyunyan, reports that the ill-treatment towards her defendant continues, “On December 25 I again visited Hovhannes Harutyunyan, who is in hospital for convicts; he is already sober, his ward is very cold and my hands were frozen in the gloves, there was no antenna.” Hayarpi Sargsyan notes that many personal items of Hovhannes have been lost, “The curtain is torn for already 16 days, and cold wind is blowing from the window, he doesn’t eat, his ward isn’t cleaned, dishes aren’t washed, maybe they have forgotten that it is a hospital and people should be treated there and not get sick like Hovhannes, who cannot sleep at nights because of foot ache, his heart aches, he has caught cold, the light in the ward is on round-the-clock in the case, when he doesn’t like lights on even at night. He is so cut off from outside world that he even doesn’t know the date. I, naturally, cannot all day long stay with Hovhannes Harutyunyan, consequently, I don’t know who visits him.” The advocate notes that she thinks that all this is intentional step by the state directed against Hovhannes Harutyunyan’s health and life.
