An international philatelic exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence opened at the Yerevan Municipality on December 13. President of the Union of Armenian Philatelists Hovik Musaelyan says 18competitive and 9 unsolicited collections are put on display. “Stamps are the most beautiful symbols of our independence, for example, the first stamps of independent Armenia, Mount Ararat and our tricolor. I am glad that we have opened such a philatelic exhibition,” Vazgen Manukyan, President of the Public Council of Armenia, said to A1+ Company. Robert Poghosyan, one of the participants of the exhibition, said the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications should issue more stamps with patriotic themes, thereby contributing to the strengthening of Armenia's independence.
