Journalists boycott press conference invited by lawmaker Rubik Hakobyan (video)
The press conference invited by Armenian lawmaker Rubik Hakobyan did not take place on Tuesday as journalists boycotted the meeting. The lawmaker entered the briefing room alone where he was met by a journalist and cameraman from the National Assembly. The lawmaker invited a press conference to speak about the incident that occurred between him and journalist Vahe Makaryan last week. After the occurrence, a number of NGOs demanded that the lawmaker apologize to the journalist for offending him. However, Rubik Hakobyan offered a formal apology in Parliament.
