After Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan presented at the National Assembly the draft packages on compensation of the damages caused to the servicemen's life or health during the defense of the Republic of Armenia, opposition lawmaker Hrant Bagratyan again confused the drafts and began asking questions about another bill. Hermine Naghdalyan, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly, explained that the package presented by the minister included drafts on amending a number of laws, therefore it would be discussed in the in the first reading mode. Ms. Naghdalyan, my intelligence is not enough to understand what you are speaking about? You interrupted me and did not allow speaking, but the changes are so significant that they cannot be presented at the second reading stage,” Hrant Bagratyan said. This gave rise to heated discussions in the hall, with legislators discussing whether the package should be debated in first or second reading. This was followed by an altercation between Republican lawmaker Koryun Nahapetyan and opposition lawmaker Nikol Pashinyan. “Mr. Pashinyan, Do not shout, I understand that this behaviour is typical of you,” said the Republican lawmaker.
