French Senate recognizes genocide of Iraq Yezidis
French parliament on Sunday adopted a resolution on case of genocide of Yezidis in Iraq and Syria by DAISH terrorist organization. “We continue negotiating with French colleagues and hope that the resolution adopted by French Senate will help to recognize the crimes committed against Yezidis as genocide,” said Vitali Nabiev, President of Union of Yezidis in France, adding that the resolution is the result of their two years’ work. All 309 members of Senate voted for recognition of genocide. With the help of this resolution French Senators will convince the Government to officially recognize genocide of Yezidis by DAISH and through UNO Security Council to send it to the International Criminal Court.
