Eduard Sharmazanov: This is unacceptable
Armenia stresses importance to the maintenance of peace and stability in our region, Eduard Sharmazanov, Head of the Armenian parliament delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) said in Siant Petersburg during a meeting with Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. “Azerbaijan ignores the agreements reached in Vienna and St. Petersburg and continues to escalate the situation along the Line of Contact with its destructive and anti-Armenian actions. It is unacceptable. Everyone should understand that there is no alternative to the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict and no one can force the people of Artsakh to abandon the desire to live in a free and independent homeland,” Mr. Sharmazanov stressed in his speech. He also greeted Vyacheslav Volodin on appointment and expressed hope that inter-parliamentary relations between Armenia and Russia would enter a new stage of development during his tenure of office.
