Government allocates money to Syrian Armenians to be able to import cars to Armenia

The Armenian Government has allocated AMD 233,365 thousand to the State Revenue Committee (SRC) by the Government to cover customs fees and other costs to be paid by Syrian citizens of Armenian origin to customs authorities for imported vehicles. An estimated of AMD 231,223 thousand of the money will be directed to tax revenues and state duty and AMD 2,142 thousand to the customs duty. The authors say that the bill aims to provide support to Syrian Armenians who settled in Armenia fleeing the conflict in Syria.
