“Here they have had meetings with lawmakers, government representatives, heads of NGOs, religious groups’ leaders and got a good impression of our nation and homeland. And this forum, we can say, sums up those meetings. During the forum, petition of supporters of declaration of peace and cessation of war will be organized.”
On September 17-18 big congress of peace took place in Seoul. The NA lawmaker Hrant Bagratyan from Armenia took part in it and made a speech. The latter told “A1+” that he personally participated in drafting of the declaration of peace,
“The document has 10 articles, the 4th article of which is on territorial integrity and that it is not allowed to attack countries. The 5th article is on the right to self-determination, and the 6th and the 7th articles state that if there is a right to self-determination, that issue cannot be solved by force. The document fully corresponds to the wishes of Armenians and Nagorno Karabakh residents,” said the lawmaker, adding that for passing such a document, lots of work was carried out.
The declaration of peace has been signed by 60 countries and more than 1 million people.
