Political analyst: Political forces will be ashamed to use Republican brand (video)
The latest elections in several Armenian communities showed that political parties will be ashamed to participate in the 2017 elections under the brand of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and will prefer to form an alliance. “They will use a different name but the core of the new alliance will again be the HHK. This is my personal opinion,” political analyst Yervand Bozoyan said on November 15. It is not clear yet which forces can become an alternative [to the authorities] and make a significant contribution. The next elections will differ [from the previous ones] in the sense that the authorities will not have an alternative. “This is due to the fact that there has been a sharp decline in the ratings of politicians. In recent years, people think that the so-called opposition has been discredited. Opposition figures are changing their position, making blatant speeches in Parliament and coming to terms with their opponents behind the scenes. People see everything and there is a deep disappointment among them towards politicians,” the political analyst said. He says people have got tired of the HHK which has been ruling the country for 16 years.
