Armenian FM: Azerbaijan should decide whether it wants to continue talks in Minsk Group format or not (video)
The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs did not make a statement on the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan; the statement was made by one of the Co-Chairs, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said on November 8. He meant U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick who recently spoke about the possible meeting of the two FMs. During a meeting with the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, Edward Nalbandian said James Warlick simply expressed hope for the meeting of the two foreign ministers. The Armenian official regrets to say that in reply to this statement Azerbaijan continues making contradictory statements. “Azerbaijan says it is ready to participate in meetings initiated by the Co-Chairs, but, on the other hand, they make statements that contradict the approaches of the international mediators.” Edward Nalbandian reminded that the co-chairs have repeatedly said that Azerbaijan should decide whether it wants to continue talks in the Minsk Group format or not.
