BHK and HVK demand mandates: updated (video)
The court hearing on appealing the results of Gyumri local elections has been interrupted in the Administrative Court. The Court has given a chance to the plaintiff to get acquainted with the evidence by number 34 precinct committee, which relate to the final results of the elections. To note, in Gyumri’s elections of the Council of Elders, the political powers, which took from the second to the fourth places (BHK, GALA and Armenian Renaissance), have appealed the election results, according to which the Balasanyan Alliance became the winner. Plaintiffs are demanding to recognize invalid the 206-A decision of number 34 Precinct electoral committee and recognize the candidates included in the electoral list of the relevant party, that is: “Balasanyan Alliance” parties’ alliance- 15 mandates, Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK)- 9 mandates, GALA party- 4 mandates, Armenian Renaissance Party (HVK)- 5 mandates. The court hearing is underway.
