Several nuances of the government position show that the new cabinet does not possess the technique to develop [the country], opposition lawmaker Levon Zurabyan said on Friday. “In reply to our question whether the 463 000 pensioners in the country can expect rise in pensions, the Ministers of Social Affairs and Finance said the pensions will not be raised. Meanwhile, the cabinet is to say what it intends to do. They can say that they will increase the pensions in 3 or 5 years, cannot they?” said the head of the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction. “How can the government hire professional managers with these salaries? What does the Prime Minister say? He says he does not know. This shows that the government has no vision. The government does not give any solution. They do not like to assume responsibility. At present, we have a government that does not offer perspectives,” he said.
